Mary Jane MacArthur, Director

Mary Jane is currently a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist candidate. She has over thirty years of experience in the insurance industry. Mary Jane provides technical consultation to LIUNA health and welfare funds in the areas of effective plan design, claims review, cost control programs and summary plan description revisions. She also develops training programs for health funds in the areas of health care consumerism and customer service representation. She is responsible for implementing and overseeing the Fund’s national prescription drug program, LaboreRx.

Jamie F. Becker, Associate Director

Jamie has a B.A degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado, and an MSW with a specialization in employee assistance programs and a subspecialization in addictions from the University of Maryland. Jamie is a LCSW-C, licensed clinical social worker. She has also been certified in CISD, critical incident stress debriefings, and is a member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

Emily Smith, Wellness Coordinator

Emily earned a Master's Degree in Public Health, Community Health Education, from the University of Maryland. She is responsible for wellness and disease prevention programs that futher the Fund's initiatives.
