In a recent letter to administrators of LIUNA-affiliated health and welfare funds, the Computer Services Division of the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America announced the successful testing of an automated HIPAA gap analysis program. Known as Actis, the program was developed by Santeon, Inc. in consultation with the LHSFNA. By leading fund administrators through an extensive series of questions, Actis evaluates a fund’s privacy and security system and assesses appropriate adjuncts and modifications.
