Implementing Your LHSFNA Site Safety and Health Program

A written Site Safety and Health Program shows a commitment to safety and brings a responsibility to implement the program as it is written. The LHSFNA's Site Safety and Health Programs state that employers will:

  • Inspect the worksite regularly and correct any hazards
  • Conduct accident investigations
  • Train workers on the hazards they will face
  • Foster communication between employees and management
  • Maintain records of assessments, investigations, trainings, injuries and illnesses

This online tool creates a general program and may need to be adapted for specific states, municipalities or local ordinances where regulations differ significantly from federal OSHA. If you need a more comprehensive approach or the expertise of a certified industrial hygienist, please contact the Fund's Occupational Safety and Health Division.
